Through the experiences and memories of musician Romy, actor and comedian Seapa aka Allan Mustafa, and DJ and producer Danny Rankin, Fathers captures the weight of loss in a deeply personal contemplation on grieving a parent. Gathering archive material, including unseen VHS tapes of Seapa as a baby, Fathers celebrates how each has been shaped by their fathers’ memory, and how they continue to honor them through who they have become as adults. “As our own parents grow older, we’ve found ourselves reckoning with the inevitability of loss. In this film, three friends and loved ones join us for intimate conversations honouring their dads who are no longer with us.
